Nursery Information

What do I need to bring to Nursery?
In each room children are required to bring To Nursery:

A drink bottle each day containing water only.
-
Spare clothes – we get very messy!
-
A hat, suncream or wellies depending on the season.
-
A healthy and nutritious packed lunch – we do not provide hot lunches.
-
Any comforters which may help your child feel more settled at Nursery.

Nappies and wipes if required.

Any nap time essentials!

Appropriate clothing for the weather, we play outdoors in all weather so please ensure your child is dressed ready to explore the outdoors!
Holiday Club
Queensway Chapel Nursery provide a holiday club for children aged between 2 years and 8 years.
Holiday club runs alongside our daily provision with activities planned to cater for the age of the children attending.
At Nursery, our holiday club runs from 8am until 5-6pm Monday to Friday with flexible sessions available, we can also provide breakfast/tea if required.
Holiday club is available to children who are already attending another setting which may open term-time only or for children who are school-age and families require wrap around care.

Designated Safeguarding Leads
Tina is our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), and Beth is our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead. They are responsible for ensuring that every child in our care is safe and well protected. If you ever have any concerns about a child’s safety, well-being, or something just doesn’t feel right, or if you require any support yourselves, please speak to Tina or Beth.
At Queensway Chapel Nursery safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility - it’s always best to speak up if you’re worried. Together, we can make sure every child is safe, supported, and thriving.

Nursery SENDCO
At Queensway Chapel Nursery we are dedicated to ensuring that every child feels happy, included, and supported in their learning journey.
Claire is our Nursery SENDCo (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator). She works closely with children, families, and staff to ensure that any additional needs are recognised and supported as early as possible. Claire can offer advice, practical strategies, and emotional support for families, as well as make referrals to external agencies when needed. She is in nursery Tuesday to Friday and is always happy to chat if you would like to discuss your child’s development or have any concerns.
